Hamilton recognized for her many years of service to the Weiser Public Library

Administrators, colleagues, friends and guests gathered at the Weiser Public Library on Thursday, June 3 to say goodbye to long-time librarian Pat Hamilton, who has retired, and to publicly introduce new librarian Timbra Long.
 Hamilton served as librarian for 24 years and plans to, “Do something without a paycheck,” she said.
 Long is a former Fruitland High School art teacher.
 The Weiser High School graduate spent 22 years teaching abroad, in places such as Qatar in the Middle East, China and Albania, before returning to Idaho.
 “It’s going to be a good change,” Long said in a recent interview. “We moved back from overseas about six years ago and I’ve been waiting and looking for a library job.”
