Golfer hits a hole in one at Weiser course – his second on same hole

Amateur golfer Terry Fritts was playing a July 4 tournament at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Weiser when he hit a sweet drive on hole 8.
He didn’t know how sweet it was. He thought he lost his ball at first in the rough. It was nowhere to be found on the green. That is, until he looked in the cup, and there it was with his initials on it.
 “It was amazing,” he said.
The foursome Fritts was playing with can attest to his miracle shot on the 145-yard hole 8. Also golfing with him were his wife Terri, Lisa Collini and Sandra Gage.
Fritts said he golfs about 10 times a year, so he knows his way around the course. He made the hole in one with a $12 Walmart special “utility club.”
What makes it more amazing is Fritts got a hole in one on the same hole 8 in 2011. He made that hole in one with a borrowed Big Bertha driver that he hadn’t played with before. It was deja vu all over again for the Weiser rancher.
“I couldn’t believe it happened again,” he said.
His grandson Carter, who is an up and coming youth golfer, summed up his amazement at grandpa’s hole in one with two words, “That’s insane!”
Fritts’ team scored a 37 over nine holes for the best ball scramble tournament. His ace on the 8th hole saved some strokes, at least on that hole.
“Not bad for an old fellow,” he said.
