Election Results

Unofficial results from the midterm election in Washington County. There were predictable results in the heavily Republican county and some unpredictable results. County voters voted in favor of Prop. 1, the horse racing measure, which is not surprising in a rural area, although there are no race tracks locally that stand to benefit. In statewide voting the measure was losing on Tuesday night. Conservative Washington County surprisingly voted in favor of Prop. 2, the expansion of Medicaid, which was winning the statewide vote late Tuesday night.

The local county races were uncontested. County voters went for the incumbents in the District 9 legislative race. Both Ryan Kerby, R-New Plymouth, and Judy Boyle, R-Midvale, were easily winning in Washington County.
