Beware of bogus sports calendar advertising calls

The Weiser Signal American has recently become aware of a fraudulent effort to sell advertising space on a sports calendar. The caller asks if the business wants to renew their ad on the Weiser Signal American's sports calendar. When asked for a telephone number, the caller is unwilling to provide one. The advertising sales call is not legitmate and is not associated with an official Weiser Signal American product.

            The Weiser Signal American publishes a popular high school sports calendar three times a year. Advertising spot sales on the calendar are handled exclusively by Weiser Signal American ad manager Tabitha Leija. Please report any unauthorized efforts to sell advertising spots to the newspaper's management at 208-549-1717.
