Barbara Anne Froshiesar

Barbara Anne Froshiesar passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at home in Weiser.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother – and dear friend to many.
A lifelong Weiserite, Barbara was born Nov. 7, 1944, to Stanley and Emma Barbara “Bobbie” Corbett, who owned The Weiser Club, and later The Sportsman’s Club, and were also lifelong Weiserites.
Barbara attended Weiser High School, where she met her husband, Danny Froshiesar; they married Aug. 4, 1962 and enjoyed nearly 57 years together.
After living and working in Boise for a few years, Barbara and Danny moved back to Weiser and purchased a farm on the Weiser Flat, where they spent most of their adult lives.  Through the years, Barbara helped manage the farm, and worked as a bookkeeper for several local businesses including Rathbone-Woodson Chevrolet, Jackson and Adams accountants, and Appleton Produce Co.
Barbara loved keeping up on local news and staying in touch with friends and family; she especially cherished her connections in the Haas Ladies Club and at the Weiser Senior Center.
She had a keen mind for cards and was always up for a good game of pinochle.
All through her life, Barbara enjoyed spending time in the Idaho mountains, and took great pride in confidently outfishing everyone else in the boat.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband Danny Froshiesar, son David and his wife Erikka, son Donn and his husband Jonathan Connett, daughter Dustyne and her fiancé Kevin Jackson, grandchildren Tyler and Joslyn Froshiesar, and her sister Connie Lang.
The family will host a memorial and celebration of Barbara’s life at a later date in the spring.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family asks you to please consider making a donation in her name to one of Barbara’s favorite charities, the St. Jude Children’s Hospital at giftfunds.stjude.org/BarbaraFroshiesar.
