Barbara Ann (Bainbridge) Chattin

 Barbara Ann (Bainbridge) Chattin was born in Weiser, Idaho, on Aug. 23, 1941. 
 Barbara passed away peacefully in Boise, Idaho on Aug. 25, 2023. 
 She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Steve, mother Julia (Beeson), father Saylor, brother James, and grandmother Rosetta (Derrick).
 She is survived by her nieces Terri Bainbridge and Patrice Hallman, and nephew Steven Bainbridge.  
 A graduate of the University of Idaho, she resided in Boise for many years, where she and Steve made numerous friends. After graduation, Barbara’s career took her to California, Arizona, and Washington  before becoming a medical laboratory technician at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, where she was famous for riding to work by bicycle as early as 4 a.m. 
 Barbara and Steve loved the outdoors, and especially loved mountain biking and cross-country skiing.  An adventurous spirit, she impressed her nieces with stories of traveling Europe solo on $5 a day in 1965.  As a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority at the University of Idaho, Barbara made close friendships with her sorority sisters that endured over 60 years.   And she made new friends at the Brookdale Senior Living Center after she moved there in 2022.  
 In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, there will be no funeral for her.
