Weiser football fans enjoyed an exciting and fun game on Friday night against McCall-Donnelly at Roy Dickerson Memorial Field in Weiser.
Coming off of a huge win against Payette the week prior, the Wolverines were trying to keep their momentum going and stay in the SRV conference hunt. Weiser prevailed with a great win 28-7 against the McCall Vandals.
Weiser took a little bit of time to find their momentum gaining a touchdown in the first quarter of the game from Willy Shirts. Shirts also kicked the extra point for Weiser.

“These boys represent all of you on the field and off of the field. They truly know what it means to do this and when they win, the entire community wins,” Harrison stated.
Teamwork is the name of the game as the Weiser boys soccer team continues their season.

Weiser vs. Fruitland
Sept. 24
The Weiser High School boys soccer team played their second conference game on Tuesday, September 22. It was the first game of the season against McCall Donnelly Vandals and proved to be a tough competition.
Play started with a quick attempt for a goal by McCall that was unsuccessful.
Weiser took control of the ball and headed down the field and spent some time near the McCall goal. McCall fouled and gave Weiser the chance to score, but McCall’s defense blocked the goal, as well as several more Weiser attempts over the course of the next few minutes.
Weiser travelled to Fruitland this past Friday night for a controversial game following the recent playbook scandal. Fans packed the stands to see who would come out on top.
Weiser was the first to receive the ball and although they moved the ball well down the field, penalties added too many yards for the Wolverines to overcome and the ball was turned over to Fruitland on downs.
Wolverine football traveled last Friday to Filer to face the Wildcats. This game was added due to cancelled games so Weiser was able to get some playing time in.
“We found out about the Filer game with only three days to prepare and they were a much better team than anticipated,” Coach Tom Harrison stated.
Weiser kicked off to Filer to begin the game and Filer monopolized the clock in a possession that lasted until there was just 4:46 left in the first quarter.
